In a retail environment (especially coffee shops) you don't always get the opportunity to add the customer's name to the sale. Many retail sales are completed without the customer's first name, last name or email address.
The Hyperspace integration for Lightspeed and NetSuite syncs customers to NetSuite without the customer details.
Since NetSuite always requires a customer for a Cash Sale, Hyperspace will create an ID HYPS (attached images) for the Customer ID in order to import Lightspeed Sales that are not associated with a customer.
