Hyperspace offers 2 types of Magento Integration. Magento Integration Advanced and Magento Integration Premium. Both integrations offer a wide variety of extensive features. Each one can sync stock from your store locations in Lightspeed and display stock levels online for each store.
Magento Integration Premium is designed for businesses than have more than 10 store locations.
Syncing stock to Magento for 10,000 skus and 10 store locations does not impact Magento's performance. When you start syncing stock for 100,000 skus and 25, 50 or 100 store locations, Magento's MYSQL database can get a little bogged down. It can also weigh down Magento's performance if you are running Magento Community instead of Magento Enterprise.
Magento Integration Premium was designed for larger businesses that have a large number of SKU's and a large number of stores. It syncs total stock from Lightspeed to Magento and uses dynamic API requests and geo-coding in order to route orders to the right store.
In short, it puts the burden back on Hyperspace so your Magento site performance is not impacted.
There are a few settings to configure when using Magento Integration Premium.
Premium Settings: Installation
The first step is to contact Hyperspace to install and configure a couple key extensions that use a Geo Location API Key and Gmap Javascript API key in order to route orders correctly.
Step 1: Confirm addresses and emails are correct
Once Hyperspace has completed the installation, access your Lightspeed.
Go to Settings > Shop Setup in Lightspeed.
Verify that the email and addresses in Lightspeed is correct for each store location. This is used in the Hyperspace integration. The email address is the address that will be used to send notifications that an order was routed to that location. The email address should be the store manager or the employee in charge of pulling stock from the shelves for online orders.
Step 2: Setup your Hyperspace Settings
The next step is to login to your Hyperspace account and in your Magento settings, change the Magento Inventory Extension to Hyperspace.
Once you do this, you will see a listing of all your store locations in Lightspeed. If you recently added new store locations to Lightspeed you can click on the SYNC button to refresh the list
Next to each store location you will need to populate the latitude and longitude. This will help Hyperspace identify which store is the closest to the customer's address for order routing. Hyperspace recommends the following Latitude / Longitude calculator when determining coordinates.
Step 3: Activating your GeoCode Settings in Magento 2.0
The next step is to login to your Magento admin and open your Magento settings here:
Magento Settings: (STORES->Configuration)
Inventory Settings: (LIGHTSPEED STORES->LIGHTSPEED STORES)
Please input the Magento Access Token that was used for the Hyperspace connection when you created the original connection between Hyperspace and Magento. If you are unsure how to do this step, please email your Hyperspace PM.
Please input the Google Geolocation API key. Geolocation API and Distance Matrix API must be enabled for this key. If you are unsure how to do this step, please email your Hyperspace PM.
Step 4: Activating Pickup at Store Extension for Magento 2.0
The final step is to activate Pickup At Store settings.
(SALES->Shipping Methods->Pickup At Store)
