Orders typically download every 5-10 minutes depending on the integration and your Hyperspace integration settings.
The date and time when the sale is imported is noted by Lightspeed Retail. If the sale downloads into Lightspeed at 10:00 p.m. on 9/6/2018 - that will become the sale date and time Lightspeed Retail will record on the sale.
If you notice that a large majority of sales have a sale date of the following day, it could be related to the register being closed.
Lightspeed Retail has store locations and registers. All sales orders are required to download to a location and register in Lightspeed Retail. There is no option to modify this rule in Lightspeed.
If the store register is closed in Lightspeed Retail, orders will not be able to download to Lightspeed Retail until the cashier opens the register the next day.
One solution is to create a dedicated register from Lightspeed Retail Point of Sale. For example, you might want to create a register called web orders or amazon orders.
This would also enable you to easily run reports by register in Lightspeed Retail for specific orders.
In the Hyperspace settings for each integration, you can control where the orders download and select the specific the register. You could open the dedicated register and keep it open 24/7 which would ensure that all orders download in close to real time.
