Shopify Configurations for Lightspeed

The Hyperspace Shopify Integration platform can be configured in a number of ways for Lightspeed to Shopify Integration.  It can be tailored to suit the particular needs of your business whether you use Basic Shopify, Advanced Shopify or Shopify Plus.

Configuration A: Standard

This configuration model will sync products, images and inventory from one Lightspeed store or 1 warehouse location to 1 Shopify Account. This is perfect for businesses that have 1 store or 1 main warehouse for all online inventory. All sales orders will download and adjust stock back to 1 location in Lightspeed.

Configuration B: Multi-Store

This configuration model will sync products, images and inventory from more than 1 Lightspeed store location to 1 Shopify Account. This is perfect for businesses that have multiple stores or even multiple warehouses in Lightspeed and wish to sync stock from several different stores and warehouses. If your store has 10 units in Store A, 12 in Store B and 5 in Store C, Hyperspace will sync all stock from all 3 locations (27 units) to Shopify.

This option will also route the sales order in Shopify to the correct store in Lightspeed for shipping. The routing logic is based on which store has the most stock available. If there are 2 stores than have the same stock, Hyperspace will route the order to the store that is closer to the customer's shipping address geographically. If Store B has the most stock, Hyperspace will route the sales order to Store B.  If Store A and Store B have equal amounts of stock, Hyperspace will route the order to the store that is closer to the customer.

Configuration C: Multi-Store / Franchise Mode

This configuration model will sync products, images and inventory from more than 1 Lightspeed store location to 1 Shopify Account.

This configuration model will also sync products, images and inventory from more than 1 Lightspeed account to the same Shopify Account. This is ideal for companies that have different franchises and each franchise uses their own Lightspeed account.

Often franchise owners prefer to keep their sales and customer information confidential. That is why they prefer to use their own Point of Sale account for their stores.

If your corporation manages different Lightspeed accounts for different franchises that each have their own group of stores, this is the ideal integration configuration. All of the different franchises can sync products and stock and receive sales orders from 1 Shopify Account.  This solution provides 1 cohesive web site for all franchise owners.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I integrate Lightspeed with more than 1 Shopify website (domain)? For example, can I sync to maladyboutique.com and janesclothing.com?

Yes. You can connect Lightspeed to more than 1 Shopify account or even a Shopify Plus account that uses Regional Storefronts. This can be done with the Simple or Multi-store configuration by using more than 1 Hyperspace account.

Can I prioritize the system to send orders to my Warehouse first? I only want to send orders to the stores if my warehouse is completely out of stock.

Yes. You can configure that in your settings with the Multi-store configuration.

What if my order needs to be fulfilled in 2 locations because it has more than 1 line item and 1 store does not have everything in stock?

Hyperspace will hold the order in an Order Routing queue. It will also send an email to your Order manager notifying them of a 'held' order. The order manager can choose to void the order entirely or selectively route it to a specific store or warehouse location.

Can I create different Shopify Accounts in different countries (e.g. United Kingdom, USA, Canada) and support the different currencies (GPB, USD, CAD)?

Yes. We have clients doing this today. They are able to use price levels in Lightspeed to manage the different 'currency-converted' prices that appear on each Shopify Account.

Please contact your Hyperspace Project Manager to schedule a demonstration.
